Boss Dentistry

Your First Visit

Your first visit to any dental practice can be a little intimidating, but don’t worry! At Boss Dentistry, our friendly, caring dental team loves welcoming new patients. Our goal is to show you how much we value you as a patient starting the moment you first walk through our doors.

Here are a few details about your first visit to our Bridgeton dental office that we would like you to know. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to call and speak to a member of our dental care team at (856) 451-9064.

What You Need to Bring with You

Before we can treat you, we need to gather some vital information, including your health history. We’ve made the process easy because all our forms can be completed online and sent directly to us. You can find what you need on our forms page.

Please also bring your photo ID and any insurance cards you would like to use.

Arriving for Your Appointment

When you arrive at Boss Dentistry, we’ll welcome you warmly and check you in. If you were unable to complete your paperwork beforehand, please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment.

Meeting Your Dentist

When it’s time for your appointment, we’ll take you back to your treatment room and get you settled comfortably. You’ll meet Dr. Richard Boss or Dr. Chirstopher Virunurm who will introduce themselves and chat with you for a few minutes about why you came to us and how we can help.

Your First Dental Exam

During your first visit, we’ll check the condition of your gums and each of your teeth. Our dentists will note any problem areas and show them to you using dental x-rays and intraoral cameras. We want you to be involved in your oral care, so we make you an active part of the process.

Before you leave our dental office, you’ll know the exact dental problems we need to correct and the treatments we’ll use to get your oral health back on track. Before you leave, our dental care team will discuss insurance and financing with you and schedule future appointments as needed.

Your Teeth Cleaning

In most cases, we’ll perform a comprehensive dental cleaning at our Bridgeton area dental office to remove plaque and tartar from your teeth. If our dentists think you could improve your at-home oral hygiene, they’ll give you tips for getting the most out of your efforts.

The only reason we would not perform a dental cleaning is if our dentists find an active periodontal infection. This requires a longer appointment to treat, so we would schedule a follow-up appointment that gives us plenty of time to provide the appropriate gum disease treatment.
