Boss Dentistry

Technology

Every patient who walks through our doors deserves a comfortable, stress-free experience. At Boss Dentistry, we are always researching ways to help you get the most out of your dental care. We invest in dental technology because it’s an investment in you and your oral health.

Dentistry is an ever-changing field, and our goal is to bring you the latest and best to ensure that you receive the highest quality dental care available. Please take a few moments to browse through the technology we’ve invested in to improve your experience at Boss Dentistry.

Intraoral Cameras

During a dental exam, we learn a lot of valuable information about your current oral health. The key is to share these details with you so that you’re part of the process, from diagnosis to treatment. One way we do that at Boss Dentistry is by using intraoral cameras.

Intraoral means inside your mouth, and the tiny digital camera captures real-time images that we share with you on your chairside monitor. During your exam, we move the camera over your teeth so we can show you areas of concern that we need to address.

It’s one thing to be told you have a cavity that needs to be filled, and it’s another to see the decay with your own eyes. Our Bridgeton area dental patients appreciate that we use intraoral cameras to inform and educate them about their oral health.

We can also save still images to your patient record for future reference or to send to specialists or your insurance company with your permission.

Rotary Endodontics

Nobody welcomes the idea of a root canal, but everyone has different reasons for avoiding them. Some don’t like sitting in the chair for long periods while others don’t like the sensations they feel.

Here at Boss Dentistry, we’ve found a way to help our patients with both. Using rotary endodontics, our dentists perform comfortable, efficient root canals so you can get out of the dental chair and get on with your life.

Instead of manual steel files that some dentists use, rotary endodontic technology uses a flexible nickel-titanium tip. The benefit being that the tip can reach more deeply into the root canal to be sure that all infected material is removed. This speeds your root canal procedure and delivers more positive long-term outcomes.

Digital X-Rays

Many dental issues start to develop within the tooth or below the gum line where we can’t see them with a visual exam. At Boss Dentistry, we use digital x-rays to find small problems so we can treat them before they cause pain and long-term damage to your gums.

Using digital x-rays, we can diagnose decay or gum disease, but they also offer other benefits. Since we can view the digital x-ray images on your chairside monitor, our dentists can show you the areas of concerns. When you see and understand the problem, you can have the confidence to make confident decisions about your oral health care.

Since your x-rays are digital, we use comfortable digital sensors that we place inside your mouth to capture the images we need. There are no sharp edges to poke into your soft tissue in your mouth, and it’s also easier to get a precise x-ray the first time.

We also choose digital x-rays for our Bridgeton, NJ patients because they reduce radiation exposure by as much as 80 percent. The images produced become part of your permanent dental history, and we can access them easily as needed in the future.

Since we don’t need to use hazardous chemicals to process your x-ray, they have no impact on our environment.

Electric Handpieces

Do you want to take care of your oral health but avoid visits because you hate the sound and vibration of a dental drill? Many people say that these sensations are the main trigger for their dental anxiety and can keep them from following through with dental appointments.

At Boss Dentistry, we want to get rid of any obstacle that stands between you and a healthy smile. We have invested in high-speed handpieces that are electric and not air-driven. Our dentists prefer them because they produce better results; our patients prefer them because they minimize uncomfortable vibration and whining sound.

Digital Records

At Boss Dentistry, you won't see mountains of paper patient records in our dental office. We've eliminated waste and streamlined our processes with our digital patient records. All the information we need—digital x-rays, images, patient history, and medications—are stored confidentially on our secure in-house network.

When our dentists need to monitor an ongoing dental condition, your information is available at their fingertips. If a specialist or insurance company needs any of your information, we'll get your permission to transmit it to them electronically with one click.
